Guillermo del Toro: a lifelong fan

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark comes to theaters thanks to him

There is surely nothing more rewarding for a producer than seeing his project finished and on screen. Months and months of work finally materialize for the audience to watch it. But if that longing is part of a lifelong desire, that satisfaction is much greater.

Well known producer Guillermo del Toro is part of that group and it is thanks to him and his desire that we are about to see the release of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.

A young 14-years-old Del Toro read for the first time the stories written by Alvin Schwartz and he fell in love immediately. Stephen Gammell’s illustrations marked him forever.

The passion of this director and producer was so strong that he obtained the original illustrations in 2001 for his personal art collection.

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. A town is terrified by a book brought to life

A calm town in the United States is completely altered when some teenagers find Sarah Bellows’ book. By reading it, Harold, The Pale Lady, Red Spot and Big Toe will come to life.
