Katie Holmes and a devilish doll

The actress stars in the sequel to The Boy, which promises to be more terrifying than its predecessor

Katie Holmes never thought a doll could scare her until she joined the cast of the horror sequel The Boy 2.

With her usual smile, Holmes recalled her recent visit to the set: "while filming I had a conflict because I love dolls, I had many when I was a girl," said the actress but added: "but I never thought they could really be spooky! Now I have to rethink everything", she said to the media outlets.

Holmes plays Lyza, a mother she describes as "loving, protective and vulnerable" and whose family moves to the Heelshire Mansion, the house with several macabre legends that are well known to those who saw the first installment.

Brahms, the farther away the better

Christopher Convery plays Holmes’ son, a restless child who soon finds the mysterious porcelain doll named Brahms. But the toy hides dark plans that will soon begin to unfold.

Holmes finds herself in a genre where she shows her art, playing a mother who will do anything to prevent tragedy from ending with her family.
