In what book is Scary stories to tell in the dark based?

A literary success that reaches the big screen by the hand of Guillermo Del Toro

When a book reaches a resounding success, the speculations of taking the story to the cinema soon appear. Guillermo Del Toro was the first to take the initiative and Scary stories to tell in the dark will be in theaters in the second half of 2019.

But who was the author responsible for a series of books that puts anyone who is encouraged to read it on edge? Writer Alvin Schwartz masterfully built a series of scary stories, revenge and supernatural beings with terrifying illustrations by Stephen Gammel.

Schwartz was very inspired by folklore and urban legends as the subject of his stories and he researched extensively for each of the three books he published.

The film will be an adaptation of the different stories by Schwartz and its focus will be on a group of teenagers who must solve the mystery surrounding several horrible deaths in their small town.

Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza and Austin Abrams are some of the members of the cast of a film that generates great expectations among all lovers of suspense and horror.
