When Sam Clafin accepts a new role, he approaches to it thinking about his character, but with Adrift, Baltasar Kormákur's film something completely different happened.
"I always approach the script of the character I play, but what surprised me is that I also began to read it through the eyes of Tami (his character’s girlfriend). Their connection was so intense. I really fell in love with them," says the actor.
And he adds: "After investigating more about them, the story became even more compelling to me. And, of course, I knew it would be easy to fall in love with Shailene (Woodley), and that's the way it was,” Claflin says with good reason.
On the work of director Baltasar Kormákur, the actor cannot hide his admiration: "Baltasar is the man you want in front of a movie, especially one like this. It was incredible and powerful for Shailene and for me to make our own journey, I really wanted us to know what we were doing, without pretending,” he recalled about the filming.
