Shailene Woodley was born on November 15, 1991, in California. She began her career as a child by modeling and acting professionally in small roles for television series.
During her teenage years, she participated in numerous shows such as Everybody Loves Raymond, My name is Earl, CSI: NY, Close to Home, and Cold Case. Her first starring role was in The Secret Life of the American Teenager, a series about a fifteen-year-old girl who becomes pregnant and must make radical changes in her life to welcome the baby and start a new family. Shailene Woodley was part of this story for five years. Later, in 2011, she made her film debut in Descendants alongside George Clooney. Since then, she starred in several projects, including The Spectacular Now, Divergent, and Adrift.
