The best films of 2021

A brief review of Diamond Films' releases

This year we returned to movie theaters, we returned to the experience of living the seventh art in person and with it, we watched films that amazed us and gave us something to talk about. We released several important films throughout 2021 that moved the viewers, so let's take a look at some of our movies from this year:

Minari, directed by Lee Isaac ChungMinari follows the story of a Korean-American family who moves to a small farm in Arkansas in search of their own American dream.

Greenland, starring Gerard Butler (London Has FallenDen of Thieves). The film follows a family on a tumultuous journey to find refuge before a large comet strikes Earth.

CODA, the Golden Globe nominee for Best Motion Picture Drama, tells the story of Ruby (Emilia Jones), the only hearing daughter in a peculiar family of deaf people, who divides her day between helping her family - who depends on her to communicate with the rest of the world - and pursuing her dream of becoming a singer with the help of Bernardo Villalobos (Eugenio Derbez), her passionate music teacher.

Petite Maman, directed by Céline Sciamma. The film follows Nelly, who lost her grandmother and is helping her parents clean out her mother's childhood home. One day she meets a girl her own age with whom she builds a great friendship.

This has been a great year for cinema! The opportunity to appreciate a movie on the big screen again is an experience we will always be grateful to have within reach.
