Women to be reckoned with

A review on strong female characters

Women who are fighters, who do not give up, who pursue their dreams and goals until they reach them. Women who inspire us, who we idealize and who become our aspirational model. Surely you have a character that comes to mind when you read these lines and here are some of our favorites.

Jennifer Garner in Peppermint is a mother who fights for justice for the murder of her family. The most precious treasure in her life - her daughter and her husband - was taken from her and she will not rest until the perpetrators are caught. Definitely a tireless fighter.

Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) offers herself as a tribute in The Hunger Games when her younger sister is selected in the first place to be part of this macabre game proposed by President Snow (Donald Sutherland). And throughout the film she shows us her bravery, strength and passion to survive.

Charlize Theron in Tully, shows us the ups and downs a woman becoming a mother and having a newborn baby has to deal with. Beyond her extraordinary performance, she brings us closer to a real woman and it’s impossible not to identify with her.

In The 355 we witness an unbeatable combo of brave, determined women with a voice of their own who will fight to save the world from a terrible tragedy. Jessica Chastain (All the Money in the World), Penelope CruzDiane Kruger, Lupita Nyong'o and Bingbing Fanwill be involved in an incredible action movie, where we are likely to find something that makes us feel close to them, despite the particular personality that each one has. And last but not least, Kristen Stewart will portray Princess Diana in Pablo Larrain's (Jackie) new project. It is certainly a great responsibility and challenge to play one of the most famous and influential women in the world. Do you want a sneak peek?
