- Margot Robbie plays Naomi Lapaglia, Belfort's lover, and she appears fully naked in one of the scenes – that was her first nudity scene of her career.

- Leonardo DiCaprio ended up throwing up after filming the scene where he eats sushi with Hill. How much did he eat? More than 70 pieces of raw yellowtail!
- The director said that there were real brokers on the film set and that some of them worked at the real Stratton Oakmont firm.
