Three Kings’ Day has arrived

Don't forget the grass and water

January 6th is one of the most anticipated dates for all children around the world. The previous night, before going to sleep, they enthusiastically place small plates with water and grass for the camels and shoes for the wise men to leave the gifts there, and then they go to rest eagerly waiting for the next day.

According to Christianity, the three wise men - Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar- went to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus more than 2000 years ago and they carried three gifts: gold, incense and myrrh. The gold honored the baby Jesus as King, representing the purest of man. Incense honored Jesus as Divinity, representing consciousness. And myrrh - a resin - honored Jesus as a man and pointed to his mortality.

The Magi´s appeared written for the first time in history in an apocryphal gospel of the 10th century: Balthasar of Arabia, Melchior of Persia, and Gaspar of India.

What films should we watch during these days?

The Snow Queen: Mirrorlands is an excellent option to watch with the whole family. The fourth installment of a successful franchise invites us to immerse ourselves in a magical world. Gerda, the main character, is a girl who grew up in an orphanage and was adopted by a family of magicians, but when the evil King Harald locks up all the magicians of his kingdom in the land of mirrors, the destiny of Gerda's family will depend on her. She, who has no powers, finds out that she has other gifts to save everyone. Will she make it?

Continuing with adventures, we can also see Uglydolls by director Kelly Asbury. The film is about a group of dolls who live in Uglyville, an extremely happy and perfect land, but one doll - Moxy, voiced by Tini Stoessel- knows that this place was created to give a home to all the defective dolls not chosen to share their life with a child. So, she decides to take a trip with her friends to the "Institute of Perfection", which is led by the villain Lou - played by Mario Bautista - who will do everything he can so that nothing changes.

Between fun, music, different challenges and an unexpected help from one of the "perfect" dolls, Mandy - voiced by Sofia Reyes - everyone will learn that the important thing is not the external appearance and that each one of us has something that makes us unique.
