Great expectation for the new film by Sean Durkin

The director of Martha Marcy May Marlene returns to theaters with The Nest

After being awarded best director at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011, the eyes of the specialized critics fell on Sean Durkin.

The Canadian director, screenwriter and producer, won that award due to the film Martha Marcy May Marlene.

In that first feature, he amazed the audience with a story that explored the world of sects and how these can act as a spiritual support in the midst of the devastation of social ties.

This filmmaker has been seducing the spectators, for example with the direction of the British series Southcliffe. Therefore, his return to the big screen renews our expectations and now we all want to see his new film.

He returns with a disturbing family drama

 He now directs The Nest.

Starring Jude Law and Carrie Coon, the film portrays the collapse of a married couple with children that moves from the US to the United Kingdom. A family that implodes at the same time that, along the way, will make reflect even the most skeptical.

Will Durkin manage to overcome the impact of his debut opera? We certainly think so.
