Horror fans will enjoy the beginning of the year with the release of Countdown so here we give you five reasons not to miss this dark story:
- Elizabeth Lail, a rising star
Undoubtedly, Elizabeth Lail gave a lot to talk about with her character Guinevere Beck in the first season of the Netflix series, You. Now she doubles the bet with her first leading character on the big screen.
- A very original horror story
Countdown focuses on the curiosity most people have about their death (who wouldn’t like to know how much time you have left?). From that trigger, the plot of the film continues with good, high doses of terror.
- The debut of Justin Dec as a feature film director
Director Justin Dec made a very good impression on his first two animated shorts (Rolling and Boats). It is for this reason that his first feature film is causing a lot of expectation within the specialized press.
- An outstanding, experienced cast
But Elizabeth Lail is not alone in this adventure. Dec called a large selection of actors and actresses: Jordan Calloway, Talitha Bateman and P.J. Byrne. They will try to help our heroine when she finds out she has only two days left.
- Horror with doses of comedy
Countdown is a great example of the genre, but director Dec decided to add some comedy moments to the plot to lower the intensity of terror and for the viewer to enjoy the story.
