Adam Devine is the protagonist of Jexi

The renowned comedian talks about his next movie

One of the most anticipated comedies nowadays is Jexi. Waiting for its release in theaters, the film directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore generates expectation with the story of a man addicted to his cell phone.

Played by American comedian Adam Devine, Phil receives the unexpected help of a virtual assistant named Jexi, who drives him to leave his phone and live a social life.

Playing a character who speaks with his cell phone

How did he prepare to act talking all the time with a cell phone? “I stared at the phone (laughs). Until I arrive at the set, I tried to interact with my phone all the time to get into the character. There is no way to prepare to act in front of anyone. So you must make sure you know your lines and choose the moments when you can improvise and have fun,” explained the actor.

He said on his character: “Phil is the kind of person that I think, like many people, lives in a small bubble they themselves have built. And where he doesn't interact with many people, he's only on his phone or on his computer all day long.”

Everything changes when the arrival of Jexi (whose voice is played by Rose Byrne) immerses Phil in the most unfortunate adventures until it will be very difficult to get rid of her.

Fun from beginning to end, Jexi is worth watching!
