Chloë Grace Moretz: “We wanted to play with very real fears”

The young actress performs with Isabelle Huppert a psychological thriller with high doses of suspense and fear

What would you do if you found a bag in the street? Would you get in touch with its owner to return the object?

Anyone who does so will be considered a good-hearted person, like Francis, the character played by Chloë Grace in the movie Greta.

The worst nightmare

This young woman newly arrived in New York after her mother’s death will not hesitate to return personally the bag she finds in the subway and then establishing a friendship with its charming owner, Greta.

“The film makes you think about the honesty of the people you are in touch with. That is what we wanted to do, play with real fears, with the dangers that may arise in ordinary situations”, states the actress whose co- star is Isabelle Huppert, the legend of French movies that embodies Greta.

Francis’ good deal takes her to an unintended nightmare when she finds out Greta actually lured her into a trap and now the peculiar woman shows a perverse, stalking character that will place the young woman between a rock and a hard place.

“My mother raised me to be a good Samaritan but after this film I’ll think it twice,” laughs this young actress who shines again in this suspense film directed by Neil Jordan.
