The greatest success of scary stories

Guillermo del Toro brings to theaters the most famous horror stories in literature

Horror stories are coming and they will make the audience jump out of their seats. In the film Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark panic is guaranteed by a monster fan, the film director Guillermo del Toro.

Horror books by writer Alvin Schwartz are Del Toro’s favorites

Leading the production of the film that recreates some of the stories in the trilogy of Alvin Schwartz, Del Toro said that they run a roundtable discussion to talk about each other's favorites to select which stories to include in the film.

"In that way, we get to the five or six that we like the most. Some of them are told in full in the movie, while others are only mentioned. The books obviously have more stories, so this could go on and on! But for now, we have decided to make the greatest success," said the Mexican filmmaker on the film that will be directed by André Øvredal.

Guillermo Del Toro says his passion for telling these scary stories is deep. He discovered the series of books published in the 80s and 90s when he was a teenager and confesses that he has never recovered from these terrifying stories. Don not to miss them!
