Green Book: unstoppable success!

The film won the Producers Guild Awards for best picture // The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures

No one can doubt at this point that Green Book is shaping up as a serious candidate to receive an award at the next Oscar gala.

Because the film starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali keeps gaining prestige in each award ceremony it is presented.

After winning big at the Golden Globes in the categories Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Screenplay - Motion Picture, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture (for Ali’s performance), the film also received British nominations at the BAFTA awards for Best film and Best original screenplay. The triumphal race of this endearing film does not stop.

Green Book: winner at the PGA for best picture

A new award is added to the ones earned, the PGA for best picture given by the Producers Guild Award. An election carried out by the maximum responsible people of the industry.

An important fact: this award usually coincides with the Oscar for best picture, so we’ll have to wait to see how this successful awards season continues.

A story that beyond the awards covers a topic as deep as universal, the need to establish relationships with the unknown. Something that happens to the characters of Mortensen and Ali, when in the midst of racial discrimination, they get to build a bridge of approach and lasting friendship.
