Green Book has five Golden Globe nominations

The new film by Peter Farrelly captivates the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association

Green Book is one of the great candidates for the Golden Globes after getting five nominations for the 76th edition of the gala that will recognize the highlights of film and television of the year.

Set in the 1960s, the film portrays an unexpected interracial friendship between a rude and scruffy Italian played by Viggo Mortensen and a skilled soloist played by Mahershala Ali, while they travel on a tour throughout the deep, racist South.

With performances that already sound for the Oscars, Mortensen is among the nominees for best drama actor, while Ali will compete as best supporting actor. But there is more.

 All eyes on Green Book

The film is also a firm candidate to be awarded Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and even director Peter Farrelly is in the race to win in the category for best director.

When it seemed there was no place for more awards, even the writers are among the candidates to win a Golden Globe at the ceremony that will be held next January 6.

A truly unforgettable release that will certainly become one of your favorite movies.
