LUC BESSON IN COMIC CON ARGENTINA

We share the final trailer for the much-anticipated film Valerian and the City of Thousand Planets (Valerian y la Ciudad de los Mil Planetas). The feature film is based on the French science fiction comic “Valerian and Laureline” created by Jean-Claude Mézières and Pierre Christin, which inspired George Lucas to create the universe of the Star Wars saga. A few days ago, director Luc Besson appeared in the seventh edition of Argentina Comic-Con where he showed a preview of his new film. In addition, the French director gave a press conference where he talked, for example, about the aesthetics of the feature film: "We do not know the future, but I prefer to imagine a happy, crazy and colorful one. I'm not interested in films with darker themes or with more existential questions. I like this colorful science fiction more." He also talked about the diversity of species presented by Valerian and made a parallel with our world: "The city of a thousand planets in the film is a space station where thousands of different alien species coexist, as in any Cosmopolitan city of the world where we want to live in peace. If living with 8,000 extraterrestrials may be possible in a movie, why cannot we do that and overcome all the problems of intolerance against immigration and get over our race, language and religion differences?
