Diamond Special: musical films

Today we recommend some titles of this genre

From the beginnings of sound films with Singin' in the Rain until today, music has accompanied the seventh art to the point of becoming the protagonist of the story. A song brings infinite possibilities, for example, it can change the narrative of a film and, therefore, achieve a new level of entertainment.

Are you a fan of this genre? Then let's take a look at two of Diamond's musical films:

Teen spirit: starring Elle Fanning and set in the world of pop music, it is a heartwarming story about growing up, dreaming big, and finding your voice. Teen spirit follows Violet, a shy teenager living on the Isle of Wight, who wants to become a pop star so she can get away from her small town. With the help of a strange mentor, Violet enters a singing competition that will test her integrity, talent, and ambition. A film that includes an incredible soundtrack: music by Ariana Grande, Robyn, Grimes, and Katy Perry, among others. There is also an original song performed by Fanning and written by Carly Rae Jepsen & Jack Antonoff.

The Identical: the film begins in 1936 when William and Helen Hemsley bring identical twin brothers into the world under the harsh conditions of the Great Depression. On the journey, evangelist Reece Wade expresses that he and his wife are unable to have children, and William senses the Lord's prompting to give them one of the children in the hope that he will lead a better life. Despite different upbringings, a passion for music unexpectedly causes the brothers to reunite and experience a mysterious and powerful connection.
