Remember Jennifer Garner in Peppermint?

Let's get a look at how she prepared for that role

Peppermint is a film starring Golden Globe-nominee Jennifer Garner and it tells the story of Riley North, a woman whose husband and daughter are killed in an act of violence with no apparent explanation. North is devastated and goes into exile, but five years later she returns to seek revenge by her own hand -since the justice system failed in favor of the killers by letting them go free. What is she willing to do for the love of her loved ones?

The actress had to prepare herself both mentally and physically to play this brave woman, a warrior soul. At the time, Garner said she had to work with celebrity nutritionist Kelly LeVeque, known for her "fab four" formula: a drink that contains enough protein, fat, fiber and greens. For example, her breakfast consisted of a smoothie of two scoops of chocolate and coconut-flavored protein mix, one tablespoon ground flaxseed, one tablespoon almond butter, one tablespoon chia seeds and one and a half cups almond milk. She also added fresh spinach, blueberries and ice.

She also followed a balanced diet and did plenty of exercise, as the role required a lot of physical activity in most of the scenes. "I feel strong throughout the day" she expressed.

If you haven't seen it yet, this thriller by Pierre Morel will keep you glued to your seat for 120 minutes. It also stars John Gallagher Jr, John Ortiz and Juan Pablo Raba.

Don't miss it!
