Spencer is the new film directed by Pablo Larraín (Jackie) and starring Kristen Stewart. A few weeks ago, we saw the first images of the film, where we could see the excellent transformation undergone by the actress portraying the beloved Princess Diana.
But how is this large family made up? Princess Diana (1961) was the daughter of John Spencer, VIII Earl of Spencer, and Frances Roche. There were five siblings: Lady Sarah Spencer (born in 1955), Lady Jane Spencer (1957), John Spencer (1960), and Charles Spencer (1964).
In 1981, Diana married Prince Charles of Wales - eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and her husband Prince Philip - and therefore heir to the throne of the United Kingdom. She had two kids with Charles: William (born in 1982) and Henry (born in 1984 and mostly known as "Harry"). The relationship with her husband began to experience some difficulties in the eighties and finally in 1992 the separation was made public after a scandal that claimed the Prince had a relationship with Camilla Parker several years ago. The divorce was signed in 1994, which removed her title of "royal highness", but she kept the title of "Princess of Wales". Finally, Charles and Camilla made their relationship official and got married in 2005.
Regarding their children, William has been married to Kate Middleton since 2011 after eight years of dating and they currently have three children: seven-year-old George, five-year-old Charlotte, and two-year-old Louis. On the other hand, Henry married in 2018 with Meghan Markle after almost two years of courtship -something that caused controversy within the royal family-. Markle also belonged to the world of Hollywood cameras – she was known for her role as Rachel in the hit series Suits - and she is divorced, that is why it was said that she wasn’t really liked by the Crown at the time. At the time of this publication, they have a son - Archie born in 2019 - and are expecting a baby girl in the coming months.
