Eugenio Derbez is a Mexican actor and filmmaker. Three of his four children have already tried the acting world, following in their father’s footsteps, and the big screen. One of his sons, Vadhir Derbez, will bethe main protagonist in this year upcoming horror film The Seventh Day, where he will play a rookie priest working alongside a renown exorcist portrayed by Guy Pierce.
The actor was born on February 1, 1991 in Mexico City, and he started his acting career when he was 6 years old participating in several TV shows. At 8, he began taking classes at Centro de Educación Artística de Televisa and he then continued his studies at Academia Casa Azul. He also studied at a military school in the United States, the country where he took improvisation classes at The Groundlings School.
He is not just a family legacy
We will certainly see this young actor conquer Hollywood not only because of his surname but because of his charisma and superb acting skills. Derbez and Pierce will embody two priests trying to save the world from evil. “There are more and more possessions in the world, and we realize that the whole system is colluded with evil, we are trying to save the soul of a child, but things get tense,” the protagonist says.
