The Nest captivates the critics

Great expectation for the next film of Jude Law and Carrie Coon

The magic of subtlety, the construction of a story that gradually captivates the audience and implies more than it shows is the hallmark of director Sean Durkin, who returns to the big screen with The Nest.

Jude Law and Carrie Coon are the protagonists of Durkin's new story set in the England of the 80s, when a family decides to cross the ocean and take a job opportunity in the old continent.

Known for his expertise, which made him stand out at the Sundance Film Festival with his debut film Martha Marcy May Marlene, Sean Durkin returns to the big screen with a story of a marriage that heads towards a seemingly inevitable breakdown.

The Nest, a plot that develops slowly and effectively

Added to the direction, the most notable aspects of the film are the roles of Jude Law and Carrie Coon, which impressed The Guardian newspaper.

"Law is an actor known for his magnetic charm, but it’s always more compelling to watch it backgrounded by a certain darkness, and this is him at his best, playing a man who starts to question the bullshit he’s lived by for so long.”

And it also highlights the protagonist’s ability to “find a way of stealing whatever film she’s in no matter how small the role, is also on top form, gently crumbling while also finding herself as a woman.”

With such good reviews, the audience will have no other choice but to watch The Nest as soon as it is released!
