The disturbing taste for horror

About the premiere of Brahms: The Boy II, why do we like fear so much?

While there are many people who escape horror films, there are lots that are attracted to them. The reasons for this interest in an unpleasant emotion such as fear are partly explained because people usually like everything that is taboo, forbidden or even scary.

Tension has something addictive and, as in any other genre, it plays with the audience’s expectations of the outcome. In addition, experts say that the brain seems to reward us when we assess the danger of a situation in a horror film. So go ahead!

The second part of The Boy

Be that as it may, the next big dose of fear will come from the hand of Brahms: The Boy II. The expectation is high because it is the sequel to the film directed by William Brent Bell that was a success four years ago.

In the film, a family consisting of Katie Holmes, Owain Yeoman and Christopher Convery move in search of a quiet place in the vicinity of the Heelshire mansion, not knowing that they will find the famous porcelain doll that has several surprises for them.

A great opportunity to experience fear but in a safe theater.
