“One of the premises of the film is that you only have a certain time to share with your loved ones,” says producer John Rickard when talking about Countdown. "Appreciate those moments because you never know when your time is running out, so put the phone aside."
We are talking about the horror film by first time director Justin Dec that revolves around a mysterious app that can predict when the user will die.
A terrible prediction for nurse Quinn Harris (played by Elizabeth Lail, the protagonist of the Netflix series, You) who discovers that she only has two days to live and begins to be stalked by a terrible monster.
With time running against her, she will look for ways to escape her fate.

The director proposes to the audience a journey of ongoing emotion. "You'll jump, laugh, get scared," says Dec and adds: "It's a fun, fast and entertaining journey that catches you in the first scene and doesn't let you go, that's the goal."
When asked if he would download an application like Countdown, he replied: “No way! I obviously rather live away from that.”
