Brahms: The Boy II: Did you think it was all over?

Katie Holmes stars in this film about the return of the mysterious doll

Some people may think a simple toy cannot generate terror. Katie Holmes believed the same, she even confessed she had countless dolls when she was a child and that she never thought they could be scary.

Everything changes with Brahms: The Boy II. The film directed by William Brent Bell has as protagonist the porcelain doll that even sitting quietly in an armchair projects that disturbing image that already terrified thousand people in the first installment of the saga, The Boy (2016).

Terror reloaded

Now, in this sequel, Holmes is a mother who, together with her young son and her husband, moves to the Heelshire Mansion, a well-known mansion house where the doll now called Brahms lives.

With a cast also consisting of Christopher Convery, Owain Yeoman and Ralph Ineson, the story tells the friendship between the boy and the doll and the unexpected terror unleashed on the whole family.

Holmes offers one of her best performances, which evidences her quality as a great actress easily adapting to the rules of the genre.

A film that will certainly delight horror fans but that is also an excellent option for everyone.
