LATIN AMERICAN POSTER FOR MOONLIGHT

We share with you the Latin American Poster for Moonlight (Luz de Luna, 2016), Barry Jenkins' multi-award-winning feature that continues uphill on its way to the Academy Awards. The film that tells Chiron's life - a Miami teenager who is discovering his sexuality in a turbulent family environment - in three distinct stages of his life, was chosen as one the best 2016 films according to The Washington Post, Forbes, The Guardian, Esquire and Variety, among many others. Mahershala Ali, who plays Juan, a drug dealer who becomes the child’s paternal figure, won several awards for this role. The actor confessed that as soon as he read the script he cried: "I was amazed. I actually cried a couple of times because what was written was very beautiful. It was a difficult read but you really could connect with the characters. It felt very human." He continued: "I think Moonlight reminds me that we need to support people who come to know who they are and respect their own times. We need to accompany the journeys of people’s self-realization. I think that's why the film is echoing among people at the moment in our country with so many things going on" he concluded.
