The Isle of Wight: The Location of Teen Spirit

Director Max Minghella reveals why he chose it as the setting for the story

Teen Spirit is a pop story of a young girl in search of her dream as a singer. For the geographical setting of the film, director Max Minghella chose as location the Isle of Wight in the south of the United Kingdom.

When questioned about the importance of setting the film in that place, Minghella shares a curious response and says: "There are two issues. The first a tribute to my father who grew up on the Isle of Wight. But in addition, it is also a metaphor. I like the idea of her living on an island, where there is literally a geographical separation between her and her dream. That seemed like a very clear visual resource."

 Teen Spirit: everything is possible

And it is from that place where Violet, a shy teenager played by Elle Fanning, will be known to the world in a dance contest that will consecrate the next pop star.

With a great soundtrack that includes the music of Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and No Doubt, Fanning will be in charge of interpreting throughout the film songs by renowned artists such as Robyn, Ellie Goulding and Annie Lennox.

Teen Spirit will certainly be the success of the season.
