What would happen if one day all the problems of humanity were completely over? A place with the lowest unemployment rate in its history, with poverty totally eradicated and no crimes. Wouldn’t it be an ideal world? But apparently all those benefits would have a cost and that is the plot of Captive State, the new film by director Rupert Wyat, which places us in a world invaded by an extraterrestrial force that completely changes the state of things.
Ten years have passed since the occupation and the film explores the citizens’ life from both sides of the conflict: those who are in favor of the new regime and the dissidents.
The story has an experienced cast composed of Vera Farmiga, John Goodman, Alan Ruck and Machine Gun Kelly, who will captivate the audience and invite it to reflect on a possible new society.
But nothing lasts forever. The invaders took the planet, it's time to recover it.
