With two Oscar winners such as Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, the plot is about the mysterious life of Captain Baker Dill (McConaughey) who makes his living fishing at sea and has a great obsession: catch a giant tuna.
But his life is altered when Karen (Hathaway), his ex-wife and with whom he shares a son, appears. Her visit is not vain, trapped in a new relationship where violence is a constant, she resorts to the navigator to end the life of her current husband (Jason Clarke).
