The quiet life of a fishing boat captain on a small Caribbean island is about to change when his mysterious past re-emerges. This is Serenity's plot, the new film by Steven Knight.
The film gathers again on the big screen Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway after having worked together in Interstellar by Christopher Nolan (2014). "During the rehearsal, while Matthew (McConaughey) took lessons on how to fish in the sea, his line was taken by a 200-pound tuna," recalls British director Steven Knight, who also has in his filmography Locke and Redemption, both of 2013.
The filming took place in Mauritius (an island located in the Indian Ocean) and among the cast that completes the production are Diane Lane, Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou and Jeremy Strong.
