One Life: the upcoming movie by Anthony Hopkins

Inspired by real events!

Anthony Hopkins was born on December 31, 1937, in Wales, United Kingdom. From a young age, he was passionate about art, whether it was painting, drawing, or playing the piano. Actor Richard Burton was the one who finally convinced him to devote himself to acting. His first leading roles were Coriolanus and Macbeth. His Broadway debut finally came with Equus, a play that brought him several awards, and after participating in several films, his career skyrocketed thanks to his role as Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.

One of his latest projects is One Life, a film that tells the story of Nicholas Winton, a British stockbroker and philanthropist. The young man travels to Prague in 1938, encounters families in terrible conditions, and devotes himself to helping them to prevent them from falling into the hands of the Nazis. Fifty years later, Nicholas lives tormented by the fate of the children he was unable to bring to safety in England, always blaming himself for not having done more. However, during a live BBC television program, the hero is given a second chance.

Inspired by real events, this film is made possible thanks to the various archives recorded by the survivors and Nicholas' numerous letters. The film also emphasizes that the protagonist's work was a team effort, including his mother. This wonderful story is told with a time jump of fifty years - rather than in a completely linear fashion - because the goal is not only to recount the events of 1938, which were dramatic but to depict the long-term impact on everyone involved.

One Life is a story about human decency. It is about individuals who risked their lives to help people in desperate need. The film features a talented cast including Anthony Hopkins (The Son; Solace), Johnny Flynn, Jonathan Pryce (Woman in Gold), Lena Olin, and Helena Bonham Carter.

The film will hit theaters in Latin America this year.

More to come!
