Happy birthday, Rachel McAdams!

The actress turns 44 today

Rachel McAdams was born on November 17, 1978, in Ontario. She showed interest in different artistic passions, such as acting and skating, from a very early age. One of the main things she highlights about her childhood is that her hobby, figure skating, gave her the necessary tools to be in tune with her body, a resource that would later be useful for her professional career.

She began acting when she was seven years old, she attended different summer camps to learn more about this, and also participated in and produced different plays. After high school, Rachel McAdams enrolled in a theater program at York University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.

Hollywood stardom came with the film The Hot Chick (2002), where she played a student who swaps bodies with a criminal. However, the roles that brought her international recognition were Mean Girls (2004) and The Notebook (2004).

Let's take a look at some of her most successful films:

A Most Wanted Man: when a young Russian man tortured to near death arrives in Hamburg's Islamic community, both German and U.S. law enforcement agencies become interested in establishing the man's true identity.

Midnight in Paris: Gil (Owen Wilson) travels to Paris with his girlfriend, Ines. The magic of the city surrounds Gil, who is in love with the capital and dreams of a different life. After midnight, the reality suddenly changes and the young man shares exciting experiences with great art personalities and intellectuals.
