Josh Harnett is an American actor and film producer, who was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1978. He showed an interest in acting from an early age and he starred as Huckleberry Finn in an eighth-grade production. Josh Hartnett was the big star of the soccer team until he suffered a knee injury that took him away from the sport and led him to act. Once he finished high school, he pursued his higher studies in acting in New York.
Josh Hartnett participated in several commercials but his first role close to Hollywood was in the television series Cracker. His name began to resonate more and more in the late nineties, after playing supporting characters in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later and The Virgin Suicides. He achieved international recognition with the super-production Pearl Harbor, where he worked alongside Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale.
