Los Cabos Film Festival 2021: a hybrid proposal.

The tenth edition will be held in person and online from November 10 to 18.

Los Cabos Film Festival is the place where films from Mexico, the United States and Canada are screened. Through this initiative, different objectives are achieved, such as supporting young Mexican talent, promoting cultural exchange, reaffirming the bond between the cinematography of each country, and encouraging content diversity.

This year, unlike previous years, it offers a lineup of films to watch online from the Festival's official website along with a proposal of live screenings, including the film MassFran Kranz's debut feature film, starring Reed Birney, Ann Dowd, Jason Isaacs and Martha Plimpton. The film tells the story of Gail and Jay, parents of a young man killed in a mass shooting, and their conversation with Richard and Linda, parents of the killer. A story of grief, guilt and empathy, in which the characters seek reconciliation.

The tradition of paying tribute to different figures of the seventh art will also be carried out during Los Cabos Film Festival. This time the first tribute will be to Nicolás Celis, film producer and founder of Pimienta Film, whereas the second tribute will be for Ann Dowd for her work as an actress, especially for her recent participation in the film Mass.
