Orphan: First Kill

The most anticipated horror prequel

Back in 2009, we met Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman), an adorable, well-behaved little girl who turned out to be the worst nightmare for the family that adopted her. But what about digging a little deeper into her origins?

That's what horror master William Brent Bell - the director of The Boy and Brahms: The Boy II - proposes in his upcoming project Orphan: First Kill, which is the prequel to the story of this fearsome girl who hides a dark past. This time we will see Fuhrman in her iconic role alongside Golden Globe nominee Julia Stiles (Hustlers).

In a recent interview with US media outlet Collider, Fuhrman said that "people will be shocked" by the prequel and that she will make history as the first adult actress to reprise a role she played as a child because she was 12 years old in the first film and she is now 24. That is certainly a big challenge!

Stiles says: "I think fans of the first film will enjoy this one because the story has a great twist (...) it has all that psychological terrorizing stuff that the first film hadThis character that Isabelle plays (...) reminds me of why Norman Bates was so captivating. He's a sociopath, but in a child. It was very fun to work on, even for someone like me who doesn't watch horror movies."

The film's official social media channels have been posting backstage footage for several months now so we're slowly finding out more about this terrifying new story. Here you can watch a reel that will definitely make you want to see the movie NOW!
