The script of SPENCER by Steven Knight

Do you know him?

Stephen Knight was born on August 5, 1959 in Malborough, England. He is a British writer and director known for writing films such as Dirty Pretty Things (2002), Eastern Promises (2007), Locke (2013) and Serenity (2019). He also collaborated on the screenplay of Shutter Island (2010) with Laeta Kalogridis, a film based on the novel by Dennis Lehane.

In the world of television, Knight is one of the three creators of the famous show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?", a program that was remade and aired in more than 160 countries around the world. He is also the creator of the hit series Peaky Blinders.

He has also been in charge of writing the script of the upcoming film by famous Chilean director Pablo Larraín. The story focuses on the Christmas weekend where the royal family is on vacation at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, and Princess Diana (Kristen Stewart) decides to end her marriage to Prince Charles (Jack Farthing).

No doubt it was a great challenge for the writer as there is a lot of expectation about this new feature film that is generating buzz everywhere and that is even being considered for a nomination –and why not winning - in the next awards season. This is certainly a challenging project to undertake, but we believe Knight will live up to all our expectations and amaze us.
