We share the international poster for The Secret Scripture (2016). Vanessa Redgrave portrays elderly Roseanne McNulty and Rooney Mara plays the young version. Jim Sheridan, director, talked about how it was to direct two actresses with such different personalities who play the same role: "It was very different with each one. Vanessa is a force of nature who has a strong will and knows what she wants. Everything she says is true. She is amazing on the screen and the danger, I think, is that she could dominate the people around her. Rooney Mara is quiet, shy, reserved, and the danger is that she could dominate the people around her. I mean, you can do that both ways so it was hard to get those two to work together. These are different approaches for different people. I think sometimes you must confront people because you want to keep it real and sometimes you just let them do their thing because they think the same thing as you. So I improvised with Rooney and joked and she went ahead alone. I do not think I could have done that with Vanessa. It is not that she is not open to opinions or other ways of doing things, but she is a person that studies, is prepared and does not want to have so many changes." The Secret Scripture will premiere in the early months of 2017.
