Chan Kong-Sang, popularly known by his stage name Jackie Chang is - among other things - a martial artist, comedian, director, producer, and screenwriter born in Hong Kong in 1962. Throughout his career he has gifted us with countless action and martial arts films such as The Foreigner (in which he starred alongside Pierce Brosnan), Rush Hour, The Karate Kid, among others.

Do you want to know more about this super star? Here are some fun facts about his life:

1) When he was young, he attended a martial arts school where he trained 19 hours a day for ten years.

2) Being one of the few actors who do their own stunts and don't use stuntmen, he has suffered some injuries such as a hip fissure, ankle dislocation, knee sprain and skull fracture as a result of some somersaults and acrobatics. Luckily, he has come out unscathed.

3) He has his own animated series called Jackie Chan adventures.

4) He cares a lot about animals. He is an activist for the preservation of endangered species and he makes frequent donations.

5) This is a less known talent: he sings! He recorded songs in five languages ​​and some of them were included as part of the soundtrack in his films.

6) He formed a K-pop band called JJCC in 2014 and he is the manager and representative of the group.

7) He is an ambassador for UNICEF and has his own charitable organization that helps people around the world through different donations.

8) He received the Honorary Academy Award in 2016 due to his outstanding career.
