Wanda Sykes: the favorite of the directors of Jexi

Screenwriters Jon Lucas and Scott Moore always count on the actress

Production teams that work very well are often repeated to continue betting on alliances that bring about good results: this is what happens with the duo of directors and screenwriters Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.

Responsible for films such as Bad Moms and scriptwriters of The Hangover, they have established strong bonds with some actors over the years and Wanda Sykes tops that list.

“I love those guys. They are wonderful. And the script is so well written that it makes it fun to come to act a couple of days,” said the actress when asked about her new participation.

Sykes plays Denice, the saleswoman Phil (Adam Devine) meets when he gives her his broken phone. “She is in this world where all (technological) addicts come looking for a solution. She is tired of dealing with all these people addicted to their phones. Maybe she's in the wrong business,” laughs Sykes.

Jexi. An operating system that can get you in trouble

Phil's life will change dramatically when he buys a new cell phone that comes with the incorporation of a virtual assistant called Jexi (voiced by Rose Byrne), a kind of app that will encourage him to move away from technological life, but as soon as that happens, Jexi will discover an unexpected sense of possession.
