Jexi is soon to be released! The comedy you were waiting for

Adam Devine stars in this funny story of a man whose cell phone comes to life

Jexi is a great option to enjoy a hilarious comedy in theaters, and at the same time it works as a rehearsal of our relationship- usually obsessive- with cell phones.

Renowned comedian Adam Devine embodies a lonely man whose cell phone addiction leads him to run into a new app that offers him a virtual assistant called Jexi.

Jexi's jealous turn

This virtual girl assists Phil in everything he needs, but when he breaks free of dependence on the phone, Jexi becomes a real nightmare.

“The phone knows a lot about you. You talk to it; it reminds you of things... you have a kind of connection. The phone gets jealous of Phil's girlfriend. She becomes a despised, jealous ex-girlfriend, something that was very, very funny to me,” says Devine about Jexi's jealous turn that, he said, made him laugh on every page of the script.

The directors of this comedy, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, reinforce this comic aspect by building a story around the absurdity of how addicted people have turned to phones, as they have argued. “No one talks to each other anymore,” says Lucas. "It seemed like fertile ground for a comedy." We can't wait to watch it!
