At first glance you may think it is a new movie with cheerleaders in which the most popular girls in a school appear in the key matches of the institution to encourage their equally sexy male counterparts.
But Poms breaks with the conventions and mixes with an amazing result the playful universe of the cheerleaders with the one of the retirement community.
The cheerleaders of the retirement community
The film directed by Zara Hayes focuses on the character of Martha played by Diane Keaton, who moves to a retirement community and, encouraged by her new colleagues, decides to create a team of cheerleaders.
It could have only been a temporary hobby, but things get more challenging when they decide to participate in a competition. These unique veterans also recruit a teenage cheerleader, played by Alisha Boe, who will train them and prepare the choreography.
The cast of this comedy is amazing: led by Keaton, Pam Grier, Jacki Weaver, Rhea Perlman and Alisha Boe stand out among other stars. "Working with them is like having an interpretation masterclass," director Hayes told People magazine.
