Very good reviews for On the basis of Sex

But the film directed by Mimi Leder is not only well received by feminists. "In the end it makes you want to get up and applaud, which means that the film, in effect, is a 'mission accomplished'", published the Rolling Stone.

"The historical narrative works especially well when it arouses our curiosity while at the same time satisfying it, and this is a clear example", wrote A. O. Scott in The New York Times.

While at rogerebert.com you can read: "Director Leder has an innate ability to describe her stories in detail and certainly manages the rhythms of her film".

The list could continue because much of the specialized critics have also given a high score to this film as captivating as the story it tells.
