Daniel Brühl, protagonist of 7 days in Entebbe

The most international German actor embarks on another great challenge

As the result of the romance between his parents, Daniel Brühl was born in Barcelona. But after a few weeks his family moved to Germany. And there he grew up as another German. Although he returned each year to sunny and peaceful Spain to spend the summer.

He made his way into German cinema despite the initial crack that was generated with his father, who wanted another future for Daniel. At the beginning of 2000, his popularity as an actor escalated internationally. His leading roles in Good Bye, Lenin! and The edukators showed certain liking for social- themed films.

Next steps

Thirsty for new challenges, he now embarks on the film 7 days in Entebbe, whose backdrop is the long and bloody Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In the film, Brühl represents a German terrorist who, along with three other sympathizers of the Palestinian cause, hijacks a plane full of Israeli passengers taken hostage.

A real story that put the world in check in 1976, and that we can now relive by the hand of the most international German actor and essential figure in the theatrical world.
