A look at different movies about puberty

Life can be a little confusing when you are a teenager. You don't understand the changes going on in your body, you become unusually attracted to other people, and you begin to try to find your own identity. It is a complex period that has been depicted several times in different movie genres.

Let's take a look at some of the best films about this complicated age:

The Duff: the film follows Bianca, a high school senior who sees her world fall apart when she learns that the rest of the students call her "Duff" (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). To get away from that nickname, she recruits the young and charming Wesley - played by Robbie Amell (Nine LivesUpload) - to help her reinvent herself.

The Bling Ring: Can you imagine breaking into a celebrity's house? That is the premise of The Bling Ring, a story based on true events, in which a group of young people decides to enter different celebrities’ houses and steal their belongings. Directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Emma Watson, the film explores the events that took place between 2008 and 2009 and were published in an article by Vanity Fair in 2010.

Vampire Academy: starring Zoey Deutch (Dirty Grandpa), the film tells the story of Rose Hathaway, a 17-year-old girl who is a 'dhampir', a guardian vampire who cannot fall in love and is forced to protect herself from the evil 'strigoi' or violent vampires, in other words, dangerous and immortal beings. Rose dedicates her life to training to become a bodyguard for her best friend the 'Moroi', Lissa Dragomir, but things get complicated when she feels attracted to her guardian, Dimitri Belikov.
