The Return of Joaquin Phoenix

One of Hollywood's most important actors returns to the big screen with C'mon C'mon

Joaquin Rafael Bottom was born in Puerto Rico on October 28, 1974 and in his early years he led a nomadic life as his parents belonged to a religious cult. This lifestyle took them to different cities in Latin America until they finally left the cult and settled in the United States.

When he was only eight years old, he appeared in a television movie and in several series until he finally made his film debut in the mid-eighties as Max in SpaceCamp. However, success came with Gladiator.

Joaquin Phoenix later won the Golden Globe for Walk the Line, a biopic about the musician Johnny Cash, and in 2019, he became the Joker, an interpretation for which he received an Oscar.

Where will we see him next?

In 2022, we’ll see him in C'mon C'mon, the first film starring the actor after his great success as Batman's enemy. The film tells the story of a radio journalist who, for family reasons, must take care of his young nephew. Mike Mills, writer and director of the film, give us a road movie shot in black and white where the main characters travel around the country. C'mon C'mon is a lovely, wistfully funny movie with scenes that will move you to tears, make you laugh, and make you feel less lonely in the world.
