The Berlin Festival takes revenge

It will take place in-person from June 9 to June 20

The Berlin Film Festival, one of the most important international events in the world, held the first part of the event in March in an online edition for critics and different industry players. By then, the organizers hoped that covid-19 would allow them to hold a second part of the festival during the European summer and their wishes came true!

This has caused a great deal of expectation as it is the first time in the history of the Berlinale that it has been held in two editions. What is expected of the event? That it will be in-person and that there will be 16 different open-air cinemas from Kreuzberg to Mitte and from Hasenheide to Rehberge - all Berlin neighborhoods - which the general public will be able to attend.

"The Berlinale is pleased to be able to give audiences the enjoyment of an open-air cinema experience (...) Berlin's falling infection rate as well as the governmental approval had led to the decision," it said in a statement.

"Audiences will get a collective, very special festival experience -something we have been missing for a long time," organizers said.

This 27th edition raises the idea of reviving the desire to go to the movies and contributing to the revival of cultural activities with audience.

A remarkable success!
