Horizon Line is the new film from the creators of Cloverfield Avenue 10 and The Shallows. It is directed by the talented Swedish Mikael Marcimain who debuts with his first film in English and it stars American actress Allison Williams - who plays Marnie in the Girls series- and German actor Alexander Dreymon - known for his participation in the series The Last Kingdom and American Horror Story.
The film tells the story of Sara (Williams) and Jackson (Dreymon), a former couple who haven’t seen each other for a year after their breakup, as they meet again for a friend’s tropical island wedding. After a series of events that delay her to get to the flight with the bride and worried about being on time for the celebration, she asks an old friend to take her to the event. She and Jackson embark on that plane unaware of what will happen. Their old friend -and pilot- suffers a heart attack on board, so the couple is inevitably left in control of the aircraft. With no flying experience, no communication with the control tower to guide them and a dark storm ahead, they will have to face their worst fears to survive. Will they make it?
While captivated by this disturbing thriller, you will get to enjoy the beautiful landscapes where it was filmed: Mauritius, an island nation in the Indian Ocean known for its incredible beaches and reefs; Dublin and London.
