More positive reviews! The Current War

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon's film captivates the press

The world was not the same after the discovery of electric current; therefore, defining which system was to power the United States at the end of 1890 is the great battle portrayed in The Current War.

The film directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon shows us the historical moment where the competition between inventor Thomas Edison (Benedict Cumberbatch) and businessman George Westinghouse (Michael Shannon) took place.

The Current War. The specialized critics have already given their verdict

The praise for the film does not stop. Amy Nicholson (FilmWeek) says: “What I think really makes this movie special is that it gives Michael Shannon a more important role as George Westinghouse and when talking about the financial risks both men assumed. It somehow establishes the world we see today.”

While David Edelstein (New York Magazine / Vulture) highlights the production in the images: "The Current War is visually lucid."

Finally, according to Alejandro Aleman (El Universal), the selection of the cast, the production team and the director made him come to the following conclusion: "All the right choices make the film interesting."

Now the final verdict is left to the audience!
