Matt Smith is ready to shine

The actor will have great repercussion with Official Secrets

The career of British actor Matt Smith is about to make another great leap: he will star together with Keira Knightley the film Official Secrets, a unique opportunity to grow.

Smith, 36, born in Northampton, became known with his role in the British series Doctor Who, one of the longest productions in history- in air since 1963 - and Matt Smith was the eleventh person to play the protagonist.

During 2016 and 2017 he played Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in the Netflix series The Crown and he was nominated for an Emmy as best supporting actor for his performance.

Official Secrets. The price of revealing the truth

Directed by the experienced Gavin Hood, Official Secrets presents Smith as journalist Martin Bright who receives from the translator of the secret services Katharine Gun (Knightley) the documents confirming the espionage and extortion of the United Kingdom on the members of the United Nations that defined the war against Iraq in 2003.

Based on his journalistic work, the truth will come to light with unthinkable consequences for both the journalist and the translator.

A captivating political thriller!
