Julianne Moore: “it was awesome and interesting working with my husband”

The actress will star in the remake of After the wedding

Julianne Moore is married to director Bart Freundlich. Therefore, she was one of the first to know the filmmaker would make the American adaptation of the Danish film Efter brylluppet (2006), something that made her wonder how they would carry out the new version of “such a beautiful film”, according to the actress.

And what she believes is a wise decision is the change of genre of the protagonists: those who were men, will now be women. Everything changed there and Moore was immediately seduced by the project: “when Bart (Freundlich) did that, I said: ‘Wow, that is the part I want to play’. It was incredibly powerful, I loved the idea. Truly brilliant.” she said to the press.

And she enthusiastically added: “it was also awesome and interesting working with my husband. He choose me and Michelle Williams. I think women are excited by these great opportunities.”

After The Wedding. A strange gift, a past in common.

A millionaire donation is given to the orphanage in India where Isabel (Williams) is a volunteer. But to receive that fortune, she must travel to the United States to meet Theresa (Moore), the donor. As soon as she arrives, they will find out they have a past in common with Oscar (Billy Crudup).

An unmissable drama film!
